Aubrey doesn't seem capable of being sad, always looking on the bright side of things and twisting bad events into good ones. He has a tendency to get really, really enthusiastic, which unfortunately comes with its fair share of impatience. When way too many things are happening though he just panics and gives up and goes off to hide somewhere until things sort themselves out. Suffice to say, he doesn't do very well in stressful situations. Aubrey is very social and loves chatting, even if the other person isn't exactly listening. It's not very easy to shake him once he takes a liking to you, as he's more or less blind to subtle cues to go away. Not so subtle cues don't work very well either. Once he's known you for more than a couple minutes he does calm down quite a bit. 

Bio
Both of his parents had to work two or more jobs at a time just to get by, their wages being lower due to not being human, so he was alone most of the time. His horns and tail weren't easy to hide, so the constant teasing and abuse were difficult to escape. He got by though, telling himself nobody actually meant it, that they were just playing around, that it wasn't a big deal. The xerneas always had a passion for acting, but given his 'handicap' never had the courage to try out for any school plays or join drama club. When he finally did, things did not go well. As soon as he got up on the stage, the theatre director interrupted, telling him loudly in front of everybody how a gijinka, especially one like him, could never be in a play, and how he'd never amount to anything. There was no denying that those words were sincere, and Aubrey left school there and then, running home. Deciding there was only one thing to do, he gathered up all the money he could find, bought a hacksaw and set about getting rid of the horns that were supposedly the reason his life was horrible. He was over halfway done when his parents came home, horrified to find their son sawing through his horns. After taking away the saw (and any other sharp objects) his mother remembered a letter they'd received a couple days ago. Afraid of what Aubrey might try next, they decided that being among his own kind would be best for him, and sent him off to Ataraxia, a choice he's certainly not regretting.
